This is the ultimate gauge setup a RX8 can need. You name it, this thing can measure it and display it.
EVEN IF your car didn't come with sat-nav fitted, this kit can still be installed. You will require a sat nav hood which you will install this kit into.
Any(or all of these) can be displayed as a numerical value, a needle-style or a vertical/horizontal bar:
- coolant temperature (from factory sensor or external one)
- oil temperature (external sensor)
- exhaust gas temperature (factory sensor)
- intake air temperature (factory sensor)
- fuel temperature (external sensor)
- oil pressure (external sensor)
- boost pressure(pre throttle body and/or post throttle body) - for boosted engines - external sensor
- turbine inlet manifold pressure/exhaust backpressure (TIP/EMAP) - for boosted engines - external sensor
- fuel pressure (external sensor)
- air fuel mixture (AFR) (factory sensor)
- short term fuel trim (factory ECU parameter)
- long term fuel trim (factory ECU parameter)
- throttle body opening angle (TPS) - factory ECU parameter
- engine load (factory ECU parameter)
- timing advance (factory ECU parameter)
- battery voltage (factory ECU parameter)
- instant fuel economy (factory ECU parameter)
- fuel tank level (factory sensor)
- instant horsepower reading/virtual dyno (factory ECU parameter)

If driven at night and so desired, the screen can be dimmed automatically so it won't bother you.
The kit in its most basic form includes the following:
- electronic control unit (mounts under the steering column)
- 7" color screen
- all needed wiring looms and misc. hardware items such as oil filter adapter plate for oil press. and temp(if needed)
- installation manual
Optional extras:
- another 2.3" touchscreen that sits in the ashtray, also displays whatever you need it to
- Accurate Gauge Cluster kit - can be integrated with this system to turn the needles inside the OEM cluster into real gauges!
- what else you may wish for and I didn't think of it yet!
Have a look at it go! Remember, it doesn't have to look like this; the units of measurement(imperial or metric), layout, font, size, color, position, style, everything can be customised!
If you don't like it, you are free to tell me what to change or even better - build it yourself using a software you download on your PC!
Please remember that this product is made to order, to your spec and to your demands. This is why the price may seem high, but rest assured that the price is mostly for that big 7" at ~130$ a piece.
Installation instructions are provided as a Word document with plenty of pictures.
When you select extra sensors, please note that I will include all the wiring needed and any mounting adaptors required. For example, for oil temp/pressure, I offer an oil filter adapter. For boost/EMAP, the sensor has a 1/8NPT you screw in your intake. For fuel pressure at the moment no adapter is offered.
