Shipping

Do you ship to (insert country here) ?

YES! If there is postal service in that area, or UPS/DHL can deliver there.

How much for shipping ?

By postal service, usually $20 for Europe, $30 for the rest of the world.

By courier service, about $70 flat rate for the whole world. Actually the rates are constantly changing so it’s too much work for me to keep updating every week for every country. Please contact by email at ciprianrotary@gmail.com if you require courier shipping.

How long till I get my order ?

I strive to ship every order within 3 business days. After that, post takes 1-2 weeks to deliver, and couriers take a week.

Do I have to pay anything else on delivery ?

This pertains solely to your countries import laws, but most likely not in USA as anything under ~$800 goes in without tax.

But surely, for countries within the EU, you will not have to pay anything else.

In any case, I do not collect those funds, nor do they reach me anyhow. Your government sets and collects that tax.

Damaged parcel/missing items

Do not accept delivery of an obviously crushed parcel or one that is torn to the point where contents may fall out. File a complaint with the shipping provider on the spot and let me know.

Missing items are to be confronted with me and I shall check my inventory to see if I’m still having something I shouldn’t.

Lost parcels

If shipped by post, there is no insurance against lost parcels once they depart the origin country; as such once the parcel is exported out of the origin country and there is tracking to valide this, nothing can be done on my end to aid lost or undelivered shipments. Still, past experience has shown the post to be very reliable in NOT losing parcels. Only one out of 3000 parcels over 4 years has been lost so far. At times, they get delayed for a month or two but eventually get delivered.

Warranty

Is there any warranty on these?

Yes. 1 year starting from the day you receive your parcel, or if no tracking is available anymore, then 20 days from the moment you place your order.

The warranty applies to all items sold on this site, and to any of its subcomponents that are custom made for this application.

For example, Bosch combined pressure and temperature sensor is NOT a custom made item, and as such does not carry any warranty – though being used by OEMs too says a bit about its QC and lifespan.

Similarly, 9V batteries DO NOT carry a warranty as they aren’t manufactured by or for me.

All items are tested during manufacturing and before shipping out. Most items integrate self-checking features that will tell you if the item detects something is wrong with itself.

Past the 1 yr. warranty period, support in fixing shall still be offered to the extent possible. Spare parts are not guaranteed for all items at all times, and in case there are no spare parts available, a whole refund shall be sent to settle the claim.

My item worked once but now it stopped working. What now?

Send an email to ciprianrotary@gmail.com explaining the fault. You may have to ship the item back for repairs, and depending on the findings you won’t be charged for repairs – if the fault lays in a component failing under normal use. Reverse polarity, overvoltage, miswiring, poor soldering, or obvious mechanical damage is not covered and will carry the fee of replacement parts + cost of shipping.

Can I have the repair done locally, if I can?

Yes, albeit consult with me about what it is you plan to do. Feel free to be as tehnical as you can. Please note that if the repair only makes things worse or harder for me to fix, don’t expect the repair on my end to be free.

Returns

How do I return an item?

Send an email to ciprianrotary@gmail.com, mention your order ID or name or date or ammount paid or item bought (or anything you can remember) and that you want to return it.

The item must be in the same state as you’ve received it – if it is not, a fee will be added which covers my cost of returning the item to the same state that you’ve received it. For example, scratching the case of a compression tester, fixing it will be $10; damaging the screen will be $10 too, breaking the wiring harness will be $20 etc. I tend to be reasonable in such cases.

If the item returned is no longer functional or used/worn/damaged to such degree that it is no longer possible to return to a commercial state then the return will be rejected and no refund will be issued. Please try not to abuse my return policy or expect that you can “try out” a product for free and have me cover the cost for this.

Return shipping?

In ALL cases, the cost of return shipping is covered by the customer.

The method of shipping back is selected by the customer and I accept everything – post, courier, whatever works with you.

On the customs declaration, mark the goods as $10 worth and as DAMAGED/USED/RETURNED goods.

Return/refund payment?

In ALL cases, refunds are issued only after receiving the item back and assesing the condition of the item.

Refunds shall be given for the initial value of the item, EXCLUDING shipping both ways.

Refund an order that wasn’t shipped yet?

Yes – albeit the PayPal/payment fee is no longer refundable. This is their own policy and I can’t control it. I receive $100, $4 is gone forever and I’m left with $96 – I can refund those $96.

After the item was packed and a tracking code was issued(but the order was not handed off to the postal system), the order is no longer refundable entirely – shipping cost will be deducted.

Refund for late parcel?

I can’t control postal services though they have let me down twice during the pandemic, You can expect your parcel to arrive in no more than 3 weeks, but if it has not arrived in 3 weeks drop me an email and I shall ask around to see where it is. If it still doesn’t reach you in 10 weeks with no ideea of where it is, then I shall send a full refund.

All parcels eventually reach their destination, and I trust that you let me know you’ve received it and pay for your item again.
