Description
This RX7 FD gauge kit is like no other before or after it. Based on 2 displays that neatly fit inside the factory instrument cluster, it adds vital information about the engine while also retaining OEM looks. Versatility is unmatched – you get to choose from various setups, analog or digital gauges, 1, 2 or 3 per page, alarm screens with customizable thresholds, F1 style shift light and even a rotary compression tester.
The kit can run off its own coolant temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature sensors. These will replace the factory sensors to add modern day precision. However, shall you run a Haltech ECU, you can use the sensors attached to it and just stream the information over to the cluster. In tone with keeping things OEM, the kit does not require any modification to OEM parts, especially to the instrument cluster itself which is an expensive rare piece. Care was taken to avoid having to drill holes, cut parts, solder, splice wires etc. You can read about how this was done in the user manual which can be found here.

Core functionalities of the kit include:
- alarm screens for overheating, low oil pressure and high oil temperature (with adjustable thresholds via the customization keyboard), that vividly flash to draw attention:

- automatic screen brightness control + automatic toggling for day/night mode (can be turned on or off)
Note that in the following pictures, the analog oil pressure gauge and analog coolant temperature gauge are actually displays!(in case they are too close to the originals to tell).


- various gauge page setups: analog, digital, a mix of digital and analog gauges, G-meter (selectable with the customization keyboard)

- for the analog-style gauges, the low coolant level and low oil level lights are retained/recreated on the screen(if so desired)
- Haltech CAN bus support
- G force meter

Additional features are:

- a customization keyboard which grants access to editing all the alarm thresholds, toggle between gauge setups, change gauge pages while driving or change the default page at bootup, change styles(colors), sensor setups, shift light parameters, trim the temperature readings the kit gives off, change measurement units, and any future features that might require it in order to be activated.
a built-in shift light that indicates when you’re nearing redline, with adjustable thresholds. This does not require anyother hardware – it can grab information from the factory tachometer or via Haltech CAN bus. The shift light can be turned off or on at any time with the customization keyboard
a true rotary compression tester – comes with an extra pressure sensor you momentarily install instead of a spark plug (just like any other compression test). After cranking the engine for a few seconds, results are shown for each rotor face, the cranking RPM, and corrected readings for RPM and altitude.
